Please do! Metalworking is a talent I can admire, since I would never be any good at it myself. It'll be interesting to see what you come up with next.

No, I never have. It seemed... wasteful to try and end up messing something up. I just stuck to making baskets or rope if someone needed an extra hand. I liked helping Sulahni the most. She's our halla keeper. So you see, it makes your gift all the more special. I love the halla. They're such good listeners.

You know if you ever wanted to try, even just for fun, there is always scraps of metal to practice on.

Very much so. They've helped me through hard things. I could just tell them what was in my heart and I knew they understood, and felt for me.

[ Halla are so attuned with the People. The halla keepers are the best at communicating with them, though. It seems like Sulahni can read a halla's mind. ]

Kind of sounds like what us Fereldens say about the mabari. It would be interesting to see a halla one day.

If you wanted to, yes. I'm not the best at it though.

Maybe you will. It's said that they won't let a human get close to them, but you could at least get a glimpse from afar.

I think I would like to give it a go. And you can rest assured that I'll be far worse than you could ever be.

Well I don't know about that. I was pretty bad - I'll still not that great. Just takes a lot of practice.

There are many things I need to practice. I think that's what all the free time at Skyhold is for, don't you?

[ For Ellana, it touches her as more than just a simple gift. She has issues like everyone else, but one of her big ones is that she doesn't matter. That people view her as someone meant to be used and then forgotten. Taking time to do something just for her means a lot. ]
